刚刚帮你们做了下research，加拿大最大的书店Indigo至今还没有开始卖《剑12》哦！我们常用的Amazon上，虽然很多商家都标出了《剑12》的货，并写着7月6日开始available，但是其实，一直到现在都是not available的！

唯一标示着此书available的地方，就是Cambridge University Press的官网，标价$36.95加币。

然而，当你check out的时候，就会发现，什么时候能寄出来，真的是不太好说。。。

  写  作  

《剑12》新题中，A类小作文和大作文的出题类型均与以往剑桥练习有非常明显的变化趋势。我们能从其中四篇小作文和大作文中看出 -- A类小作文的变化是非数据类的练习增多（如：流程图&地图）；A类大作文的题目趋势则更倾向于社会类话题。

A类小作文

从过去的几本剑桥真题中，我们能看出数据类图表练习（如：饼图，线图，柱状图和表格图等）占据了很大的比例。这些图的基本分类为静态图和动态图。而其中，动态图（有超过两个或两个以上时间的图表）的比例又占了大多数。去年的《剑11》中小作文三个练习都为饼图。而新发售的《剑12》则把相对较少的非数据类图和柱状图作为了重点（柱状图，地图，柱状图 &流程图）。在近几次的考试中，也有很多考生反映，考试中出现了流程图和地图，而且感觉这两种图的比较和描述会比数据类图要难。

接下来，我们下面来看一篇Henry老师带来的小作文范文。

The process diagram demonstrates the main steps of generation of power by the utilization of geothermal energy.

The whole procedure consists of five main stages. First of all, it starts from the cold water, being pumped down to the space with a depth of 4.5 kilometers underground. Thereafter, the water from the previous step is pumped into the injection well before flowing through the geothermal zone, which is composed of hot rocks.

After passing the geothermal zone, the liquid is conveyed into the production well. Subsequently, the water is transported up to the condenser located on the ground by the hot water pump. Finally, after the condensing stage in the condenser, the liquid is transferred into steam, which powers the turbine, and with the power from the turbine, the generator produces electricity and then delivers it to the pylon.

In summary, the diagram depicts the process of electricity generation by geothermal energy through a series steps.

A类大作文

4. Some people believe that allowing children to make their own choices on everyday matters (such as food, clothes and entertainment) is likely to result in a society of individuals who only think about their own wishes. Other people believe that it is important for children to make decisions about matters that affects them.

At the present time, the population of some countries includes a relatively large number of young adults, compared with the number of older people. Do the advantages of this situation outweigh the disadvantages?

In modern world, it is quite common to see that the young people constitute a larger percentage in some countries which are getting “younger”. The opinions about this are deeply divided.

There are some benefits in this trend, one of which is that there is sufficient vitality if the younger generation account for a greater part in a country. Obviously, the young possess a great deal of energy, abundant creativity and gorgeous perspective. Especially for the young people who have just graduated from universities, after these talents start their career, they would seize the opportunities and achieve their capacities and skills, making considerable contribution to the whole society. Besides, in this world with an unprecedented development, the younger generation are usually unique with the creative and innovative minds, which are necessary in many cases. To a large extent, such minds as well as values have better adaptability so that they are more likely to be the master key to the development of the nation.

However, there are also some drawbacks in this tendency. One of the main concerns is the impulsiveness. With the acceleration of the pace of life, an increasing number of young people would live under high pressure. Some of these self-centered young people with weak anti-pressure ability but resentment might commit crimes without consideration, which is detrimental to society. In addition, compared with the elderly people, the younger generation lack experience in life, which proves to be a valuable treasure. As the old people could provide many constructive suggestions according to their decades’ experience, the young people could be prevented from making mistakes, thus getting back on the right track.

To sum up, the tendency that the young adults outnumber the elderly people does make contribution to the nation. If the precious knowledge and experience could be adopted from the old, the advantages of the younger generation could be enhanced considerably.
